Our Baby Girl Passed Away

Oh boy has it been busy! And not a good busy. Christmas was actually miserable this year. My mother's cat (who I raised and she was my cat when I live with her) passed away due to undiagnosed Congestive Heart Failure. We didn't know until it was too late. $4500 later... no cat, good memories, and a very loved and missed pet, and a very, very sad Christmas eve and Christmas day.

This is China Doll and myself. Not the best photograph but it does show the adorable little face of hers! We truly will miss this cat. She was a unique, dainty little lady. She was a very cute kitten too. I wish I could find all the photos I had of her. But, here are few others.

We will miss you dearly baby girl. Born April 4th, 2009, Passed December 24th 2011.

It's Christmas Time!

Hunter and I went to his parents for Christmas on Wednesday. I got two maternity t-shirts, a nursing bra, and some pots and pans. We also got albums for our new events, the baby and our wedding. We finally got the professional disc of our wedding. Hunter got lots of hunting shirts and work-out clothes. Now, I just need to encourage him to work-out. I know I can't right now but that doesn't mean that he can't.

Peanut went back home to spend Christmas with her mother. She took home a lot of gifts and some we kept at our house for when she visits. She gave us a tough time the night before she left and was very fussy. I think she was just home sick.

Here I am, almost 34 weeks pregnant, the doctor I saw for the emergency visit called me yesterday to tell me that they figured out I had a UTI. Awesome, wish they would've figured that out two weeks ago when all my problems that I was just 'imagining' occurred. But, what can you do? Apparently checking urine for an infection isn't a standard procedure in Labor & Delivery.

Last night we went to see a live nativity at the local zoo. They had the most adorable little goats, one was only 5 days old! It made me want to meet our little Jellybean even more! I am a sucker for babies.

On top of all of this, I found out I passed both of my last college courses. THANK GOODNESS! I thought I was going to get booted out of the next semester which would not be good.

Our Christmas time is filling up quickly though! Saturday, Christmas Eve, we are going to Busch Gardens Williamsburg Christmas Town, Sunday is Christmas itself, and then Monday evening we are seeing the Nutcracker Ballet. I love going to see the Nutcracker! It's a beautiful story and with a live orchestra it's even better.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday!

Our Baby This Week: 33 Weeks Pregnant

Jellybean is now 33 weeks! She is 31 weeks fetal age. And, she is killin' mama! She is a big baby and we are due for a growth ultrasound right after Christmas on the 27th. I can't wait to see her again! We haven't seen her on an ultrasound since 22 weeks. Most people never get another ultrasound though so this is a blessing in disguise. I just pray that everything checks out just fine!

This week has been hard with the pregnancy. I went to the ER Saturday because I thought my water broke. We are still not sure what it was. I went to the doctor for an emergency visit yesterday because I started having regular cramping and severe back pain. We're still not sure what that is from because I am not dilated and my cervix is closed and they weren't Braxton Hicks contractions. So, they gave me a muscle relaxer prescription. I didn't have the courage to tell my doctor that I am anti-medicine. I hate taking any pain med, etc.

With that being said, I am still on the fence about an epidural. I know it's going to hurt! But, I am wondering if I really do want a needle to my delicate spinal cord or not. I am just not too happy even as a medical person, with needles. And, I think people over-abuse medication personally.

Here's to week 33! Christmas time! The jellybean is now anywhere from 4lbs to 5lbs, and over 17" in length. When she is active, it hurts! She is a strong kicker and has a strong heartbeat. Doctor has put mama on pelvic rest for now because she's been so dehydrated. We are hoping this'll be lifted after the ultrasound.

Only 4 more weeks until full term! January 17th, 2012 will be our full term date. If little one can hang in there until then, she has all the rights to come any time after that! Mama is ready for ya!

The Jist: The List

This is not a New Year's resolution list, I promise.
  • Step One: Start eating better. What happened to my pregnancy diet? I think I gave it up completely. And I need to get back on it! (Because that weight is catching up now!)
  • Step Two: Get the baby crib set up for our little one. Right now it is set up for Peanut but she is more comfortable sleeping with us in our own bed (and that's usually where she winds up because she has nightmares).
  • Step Three: Get the disc for our wedding photos and make a collage for our wall. You can see some here
  • Step Four: Push this baby girl out! The time keeps dragging on. I can't wait to meet her!
  • Step Five: Enjoy life's moments!

I gave it up!

I had my own site with Wordpress. The $6.99 a month service was enough (as I know there has GOT to be cheaper web hosting websites for just a blog), and then the fact that my entire blog was hacked and when it was so decently "restored' it wouldn't let me back in...I am back to blogger needless to say. And, I have missed blogger too.

I hope to get my about me information in here soon!
